Lesson Structure & Pricing

  • Lessons for each new student are 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday.

  • Each individual lesson is under 10 minutes in duration.

  • Each lesson is taught by the same, highly trained ISR instructor. Having the same, skilled instructor helps your child build trust and confidence quickly.

  • The session is completed once the student can complete self-rescue unassisted and in clothes, typically between 25-35 lessons (5-7 weeks).

  • Lessons with ISR NKY cost $850 per session!

  • I require a non-refundable deposit of $425 to secure your child’s lesson time/session. This deposit will be applied to your child’s first three weeks of lessons. Second payment of equal amount $425 is due on or before the Friday before lessons begin, and is applied to weeks 4, 5, and 6. If your child requires additional lessons, the lesson fee will be due at that time.

  • ISR requires all families complete registration for each child to ensure that lessons will be safe for your child. Registration is $105 per child and is not applicable to lesson fees.

  • Registrations must be updated at minimum every 6 months, one registration fee per calendar year. The initial registration fee of $105 is paid the first year only. The annual update fee is $40 per child, charged the second year, and once per calendar year thereafter.

FAQs
Will my child cry?
It’s very common that babies & children cry! It's how they communicate. They do it when they have all sorts of emotions. When they are hungry, sad, mad, confused, uncertain, tired & when they have soiled themselves and yes, when they are scared too. Toddlers have separation anxiety as a normal phase of development and will scream and cry if you leave them with anyone, regardless of if that person is in water or not. You are still going to restrain your child in a car seat, correct? This is the same with self rescue swim skills. You are giving them the skills to stay safe. Always remember, there are so many parents that would give anything to hear their child cry again. Don’t let fear of emotions cause your child to be a statistic.
What do you think about puddle jumpers?
These devices create a false sense of security in a deadly environment. They also keep your child in a vertical (drowning) position! You have to be committed to ditching these devices during & after ISR lessons. If not, our program just won’t work.
Do lessons cause trauma?
No, lessons do not cause trauma. Trauma is what children & first responders experience when accidents happen to unskilled children. ISR Instructs (Infant Swimming Resource) are highly trained. We are trained not only in equipping children with self rescue skills but also in child psychology! We know the stages and phases and what kids can and can't do at specific ages.
Is ISR a style of swimming?
NO. ISR stands for Infant Swimming Resource. So many times I’ve seen others discuss ISR lessons when in fact they most definitely aren’t ISR lessons. Just because a company claims to teach survival swim, that doesn’t mean it’s ISR. Infant Swimming Resource is the founder & global leader in self rescue swim!
